18th Annual Smith Alumni Chapter Golf Tournament
Thursday, September 20, 2007
University of Maryland Golf Course
1:30 p.m. shotgun start
Join fellow alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the Smith School at the 18th Annual Alumni Chapter Golf Tournament on September 20. Instead of answering e-mails, spend the day on Maryland’s beautiful golf course driving and chipping for a good cause. All proceeds support unique learning experiences for our students, as well as networking and educational opportunities for alumni. After 18 challenging holes you’ll be more than ready for our silent auction, live auction and raffle. Lunch will be served before the tournament starts and dinner afterward. We promise that the weather will be beautiful and no one’s putt will finish short. Okay, so we can’t promise clear skies and perfect putting…just a fantastic day of camaraderie, impeccably catered food and, of course, great golf! Various sponsorship levels are available. Individuals are also welcome to play! Please contact us to be matched with other individuals. Learn more or register today!

Smith MBA Students Travel to Europe and South America to Study Global Economy
"Seeing Rotterdam, one of the most advanced ports in the world, was an incredible experience. The SeaGate, which protects the port and the city, and the world's largest flower auctions were examples of Dutch technical creativity that are incomparable to anything I've ever seen," said Andrea Michels, Smith EMBA candidate 2008. Each year, more than a hundred Smith MBA and Executive MBA students travel around the world on short-term study abroad courses.
